Vidar Fagerheim is leaving Grieg Connect – takes over as CEO of Ocein

Vidar Fagerheim has accepted the role of CEO at Ocein, an innovation and development company that works with technology and smart solutions for companies in the service industry, catering to Norwegian and international aquaculture companies. Consequently, Vidar is leaving Grieg Connect, the company that resulted from the merger of Seamless and Shiplog under Grieg Logistics.

The company Shiplog, which Vidar established together with his colleague Erling Fagerlie back in 2013, was based on software solutions for the maritime industry. The company placed particular emphasis on developing system solutions for ports, supply bases, and ferry and high-speed boat operators. In 2017, Grieg Logistics acquired a majority stake in the company, before acquiring the remaining shares in 2018 and merging Shiplog and Seamless into Grieg Connect. In 2022, Grieg Connect was established in Sweden in partnership with Tord Svanqvist and Johan Nordh. As a result of Vidar moving on to new challenges, Tord will take over as interim CEO.

Vidar will start at Ocein on December 1st. Until he leaves, he will assist Tord and Stig Trygve in their work with Grieg Connect moving forward.
